Help young Aussies confidently enter the workforce

Help us to provide career mentoring and professional development to young people experiencing mental ill health. Our mentors work with young people to champion and support them in their journey to find, maintain and enjoy work.

Young people in the program are entering the workforce for the first time with confidence and belief in their ability to achieve their work and study goals.

headspace knows that meaningful work is important for a young person’s mental health and wellbeing, with employment providing routine, social meaning and purpose. However, young Australians are finding it increasingly more difficult to break into the workforce.

With one in four young people using headspace services not engaged in work or study, we developed the Digital Industry Mentor Service to give them the confidence to achieve their vocational goals.

The headspace Digital Industry Mentor Service matches young people with an online career mentor to support them in developing job search, interview and career management skills so they can take control of their future. Mentors act as a positive role model and sounding board for work-related decisions, helping their mentee develop self-confidence and optimism in their journey towards work.

Special thanks to our amazing Corporate Partner, Hays Specialist Recruitment for kick starting our appeal with their generous donation of $20,000.
